I had Mutual of Omaha disability insurance through my employer for many years. I became disabled with a neuro-muscular disease and severe spinal stenosis that was damaging nerves to my legs. My doctor wrote letters and sent test results proving my disability. I could walk for short distances using a 4 prong cane, but Mutual of Omaha kept denying my claim and said I could work full time.

I applied of Social Security disability and I immediately received approval.

I hope the people who denied my claim suffer with pain and someone turns their back on them like they did to me. 12915be

No this is a true comment. Mutual of Omaha denied my disability claim too after my treating doctors said I was disabled. This is a horrible company out to take you money!

I have worked for Mutual of Omaha for many years. It is a great company that really tries to pay claims.....Sometimes what your md tells you and what he tells the insurance company are completely different. The insurance company orders your med recordS along with the md's notes. Sometimes the notes indicate you are more mobile and less disabled than you have been lead to believe by your doctor. Try to get a copy of all your med records from all your md's and read the 'notes'....good luck...if soc sec pays, so would Omaha.
